The number of rigs drilling for natural gas in the United States fell for the
eighth straight week this week as producers continued a slow dry
gas drilling operations in the face of low prices.
The gas-directed rig count slid by 19 to 691, its lowest
since August 2009, according to data from oil
services firm Baker Hughes on Friday.
